Mr. Bartlett from Friends of Ferdinand, Indiana
Mr. Bartlett is an 11 year-old Thoroughbred gelding. He is a super sweet, quiet, and laid back guy. He catches on extremely fast and has a great work ethic. He is approved for trail riding, dressage, and work over small fences.
Bartlett was recently returned to our program due to financial hardship. His ideal home would be with an advanced beginner or someone working regularly with a trainer. He would be a great family horse and is "husband safe."
Barlett is currently available for an adoption fee of $1,500. Click here to watch a video of him.
For more information on Bartlett, please email Friends of Ferdinand. To learn more about Friends of Ferdinand, visit www.FriendsOfFerdinand.org.

Margrit from Mylestone Equine Rescue, New Jersey
Margrit is a 30+ year-old registered Appaloosa mare who spent over 18 years tied to a tree. She was bred year after year and had her foals sold online. To Mylestone’s knowledge, Margrit had at least 17 foals. Soon after she was rescued, at age 27, she lost her last foal. Margrit was terrified at first, but has come a long way over the past few years.
Margrit recently developed a serious sinus infection and unfortunately sending her to an equine clinic was not a financial option. Dr. Watson from Califon Animal Hospital drilled a small hole into her right sinus cavity, which allows the infected area to be drained twice daily. She is also on oral antibiotics and now has a tube running from inside her right sinus cavity up the front of her head and over her ears.
After taking x-rays, Dr. Watson and Dr. Hamorski contacted local equine dentists Bill Schultze and Brian Shaw to evaluate Margrit. Bill and Brian generously donated their time and removed a tooth fragment and another loose molar. There wasn’t a clear track of infection, so they aren't sure if the infection ran along the gum line into her sinus cavity. As of March 10th, the tube will stay in for several more days to allow more time to flush out the area.
Mylestone is amazed and thankful for the level of trust Margrit has to allow them to perform this procedure on her twice a day. While Mylestone does receive a generous discount on their vet costs, Margrit has mounting vet bills, so they are urgently in need of donations to help with her care.
If you are able to help Margrit, please send a donation to:
